Setiap bayi terlahir dalam kondisi kekurangan vitamin A. Oleh karena itu, Bunda perlu memenuhi kebutuhan vitamin A pada bayi dengan cara memberikan ASI eksklusif, serta MPASI kaya akan vitamin A bila telah memasuki usia 6 bulan.

Pemenuhan kebutuhan vitamin A sangat penting bagi tumbuh kembang bayi, serta mencegah berbagai penyakit terutama penyakit infeksi. Bayi yang dibiarkan kekurangan vitamin A dapat mengalami beragam masalah kesehatan.

Oleh karena pentingnya vitamin A, Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia mencanangkan program pemberian suplementasi vitamin A nasional. Program tersebut dilaksanakan setiap bulan Februari dan Agustus.

Untuk mendukung program tersebut, Ai Care mengeluarkan booklet terbaru bertajuk AiKnow Kids Edition: Serba-Serbi Vitamin A. Ayah dan Bunda dapat membaca lebih lanjut mengenai vitamin A untuk balita di booklet ini.
